FREE Teen Driver
Safety Course
"For the past
30 years,
I have
investigated thousands of accicents,
many fatal and involving teen drivers. Teens are more likely to cause accidents because they just don't have the proper skills and experience behind the wheel to avoid the dangers on the road.

The Safe Teen Driver Guide is the tool you need not only to teach your teens to drive, but enjoy this experience with your child."
Master Police Officer,
James Poer

Defensive Driving Courses that get you rolling!
By Tom Wiecek, President of the Society of Family Insurance Specialists

Most of us realize that we don't all learn best in the same way. Some of us excel at reading information and absorbing it. Others do better when they hear the same information. Some of us need hands-on lessons to learn a new skill. All of us need to want to learn and be receptive to learning in order to do well. The need for variety and the need to make learning fun is one reason that stand-up defensive driving was created. Driving instruction for teenagers as well as adults can be done through techniques they consider fun.

What Is Stand - Up Defensive Driving?

If you take a course in defensive driving, you will be taught techniques to improve your driving skills and that will make you a safer driver. Not everyone has the ability to sit and listen to a lecture and retain the information that they need to implement new techniques into their driving. If you love entertainment and can learn more from a stand-up comedy routine than from a formal driving instructor, the stand-up defensive driving may be the driving instruction you need to help hone your driving skills.

A stand-up defensive driving course is performed by comics using their regular routines to keep you laughing. The material they use is based on the tried and true techniques of defensive driving. Although defensive driving may not sound like a funny subject, the talents of these comedians enable them to present the subject to you in a humorous fashion so that you can understand and retain the needed information.

Is Stand-Up Defensive Driving For Me?

You need to have a good sense of humor for stand-up defensive driving to work for you. If you normally enjoy the talents of a good stand-up comedian, then stand-up defensive driving will be an entertaining way to attend a driving course.

While using funny faces, laughable examples, and foolish demonstrations, these comedians demonstrate the importance of maintenance on your vehicle. Keeping the tires properly inflated, new and working windshield wipers, and lights that operate are all essential to having a safe vehicle.

You probably can imagine some of the jokes that can be made about not paying attention while driving. In reality, people, especially teenagers, often find other areas that interest them more than where they are going. It is easy to laugh about these demonstrated circumstances in stand-up defensive driving since no real accident occurs. Once tragedy strikes, it is no longer a laughing matter.

Learning to drive safely is important and you should do it in whatever way makes it easiest and most effective for you. There is no reason you should not combine driver training with entertainment if that is your preference. What is important is that whether you learn stand-up defensive driving or take a regular defensive driving course, you learn what it takes to prevent accidents.
